Three to six months from placement to the final crown, because the post has to fuse with the bone before it can carry a tooth. The appointments themselves are short; most of that time is healing, and a temporary tooth covers the gap if it is visible.

Placement is done under local anaesthesia, so you feel pressure rather than pain, and a single implant usually takes under an hour. Afterwards the area is tender for two to four days. We tell you what to take and ask you to call if the pain increases instead of easing.

It depends on the implant system, the crown material and whether a bone graft is needed. We confirm the figure after the CBCT scan and give it to you in writing before treatment starts. Some insurance and corporate tie-ups apply; ask us at the consultation.

A graft builds the ridge up and is left to mature before the implant goes in, which adds a few months. The scan tells us this at the first visit, so it is planned and priced upfront rather than discovered midway.

Long-term studies put implant survival at around 95% at ten years, and many last far longer. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes and poor cleaning are what lower those odds. Individual results vary.

For a single missing tooth with healthy neighbours, usually yes, because a bridge means cutting two healthy teeth and is typically replaced within 10 to 15 years. A bridge is faster and cheaper on the day. We show you both figures and the X-ray before you choose.
