Sensitivity is common and usually simple to treat once the surface that is reacting is found. Pooled studies put sensitive teeth at around one in three adults (Favaro Zeola and colleagues, Journal of Dentistry, 2019). The twinge that matters is the one that lingers, because that is the nerve rather than the surface.

Sensitive teeth remedy in Coimbatore until you are seen

  1. 1Switch to a soft toothbrush and brush in small circles, not scrubbing side to side.
  2. 2Use a toothpaste made for sensitive teeth twice a day and do not rinse it away straight after brushing.
  3. 3Avoid very cold, very hot and acidic food and drink on that side for now.

Where cold sensitivity usually leads

Sensitive teeth: quick answers

Most often a patch of root has been exposed by receding gums, or a filling has cracked. A recent cleaning, filling or whitening can also cause a few days of sensitivity that settles.

Sometimes. Sweet sensitivity on one tooth is a common early sign. A brief twinge on several teeth at the gum line is more often exposed root.

For exposed root sensitivity, yes, over two to four weeks of regular use. It does not fix a cavity, a crack or an inflamed nerve.

When the pain from cold lingers for a minute or more, or comes on its own without a trigger. That is the nerve, and the examination decides.

Yes, for a day or two. We use a lower-sensitivity protocol where you already have sensitive teeth, and we would not whiten an untreated cavity.
